ST John

Today we went to St John. They came to our school to teach us about an emergency.  When someone is having an emergency attack or unwell They told us how to look for danger, to see if they respond, if they are breathing, and their airway is clear so if they vomit they don't chocke. We put each other in the recover'y position when they are unconscious. They taught us about hypothermia and hyperthermia. Hypothermia is cold and Hyperthermia is hot.

  2. Hi Ben
That’s awesome that Cat from St. John in Schools has come to Kaniere to teach all the children about first aid and what to do in an emergency. Knowing what to do in an emergency is super important. it gives me peace of mind knowing that you know what to do.
Do you know where our first aid kit is at home? Who would you call if something was to happen to one of our family members?
