Today I made a Lego giraffe. At first I really struggle but then I made it a 1 block giraffe, I think doing it as a 1 block giraffe is easier than making a thick giraffe.
Hi Ben I think you have been very creative making a giraffe out of Lego. I can see you have carefully chosen bricks of the correct colour for a giraffe. Did you know that giraffes spend most of their lives standing up and only need 5 to 30 minutes of sleep every 24 hours. Wow imagine all that we would get done if you only slept for 30 minutes in a day! I wonder what other fun facts you can find out about giraffes. I think they are the most fascinating looking animals. Have you seen the giraffes at Orana Park in Christchurch? If yo ever get to visit they have an awesome range of animals on display. All the animals are kept in bigger enclosures so they can live as natural a life as possible.
Hi Mrs Hickford. I did not know that giraffes only sleep 30 minutes a day. And no I have not been to Orana Park but I would love every one in family have except me. But when I am a year 6 when I go wood end I will get to see the giraffes.

Your lego artwork genuinely looks like a giraffe, and I think it is amazing how you even managed to include little details like the horns of the animal. Did you model your lego off of an image of a giraffe, or did you base it off of an image in your mind? What made you decide on a giraffe and not a different animal? Did this creation take you long to make? It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know! I noticed in your image there were some white blocks by the giraffe’s foot. What are these for? I also noticed how the image you included is zoomed in quite a lot. How big did you actually make your lego? Keep up the great work! Nga mihi
Giraffes are cool and very tall. Are giraffes one of your favorite animals? Or did you just want to build one? What other animals do you think you could make? It looks really neat Ben keep up the great work. Naomi

Hi Ben, Giraffes are awesome animals..I have fed them at Orana Park, they are very gentle eaters.
