Matariki Mat

 We have made a Matariki Mat. You might be thinking what is a Matariki Mat, it was a Mat made out of Harakeke and you weave it into something like a plate. First with out Mat we had to get 12 pieces of small flax then start weaving, a 7 by 5 grid. Next you have to put the 2 ones next to the middle flax and fold them up to the, other side. Next you grape the 2 ones on the edge and fold, them to the other side. Then you fold the 2 up top back down, next you fold the one in the middle and do the same thing. Then you get something that you can tie something     with like a rope, then grab all of the flax and tie them together. In do that for the other side, Then you need to do that with the other ones and then you are done that. You need to fold it up and make a handle then BANG you done.
