All about me

Hi my name is Ben from Kaniere School. I like to play in the fort with my friends. I like to do maths, reading and writing it is fun because I'm really good at maths and I get to do all kinds of maths problems. My friends are Haki, Deegan and Lincoln. My goals are this year to get better at maths, reading and writing. I think I am getting better at maths,reading and writing. I think I am getting better at xtramath and maths whizz. I like to do Reading Eggs, Maths Whizz and Epic. My mum and dad's name are me called David and Abby. Our pets are a cat and chicks. I am a year 3.

Up Over the Tens

It took a lot of time because it was  challenging because it had hard questions. It was fun because i like to do maths. I was good a this because I am good at maths.

Cybersmart

We have been learning the kawa of care. We will not throw our chromebooks around. We will be in the right place at the right time. We will not have food around our chromebooks.

Maths - Shapes

I had to use rectangles , triangles , squares and trapezium.  I learnt that you can make pictures with shapes.

Art and Writing

I think I did really good at this art because I like to do art. I think I did really ok at cutting because I did the best I could. It was fun because I love writing. I did good at gluing because I did it quick. I love doing this because I like to do art.

My Pet Day Project

My Self Portrait.

The best images to use on our posts are ones we have created ourselves or our own photos. We have been using Google Drawing to create our own and have learnt how to use new tools to make a self portrait. We took a selfie and had to make sure we had our head and shoulders in the picture before we fitted it to the page. Next we used the polyline tool to draw around our face because it is the only line tool that you can colour in. This was tricky because it couldn’t make circles because it was a line tool. Next we had to match our skin colour and then we went into the custom tool so we could make our fill transparent. We did this so we could see our face through the colour. We used the magnifying tool to make it bigger so we could see our small eyes and mouth. I’m happy with the way my picture looks on my self portrait because it looks just like me. I will have to work on my eyebrows because I am not happy with them. Thank you for reading my blog post. Have you ever tried to draw your own self portrait?
