Dear prime minister Jacinda Ardern.
 I think that swimming listens should be free because some parents do not have money and if there child can't swim and no one is with them they will drown.

You could give money to local swimming pools so they can make it swimming lessons free. You could have a community meeting and tell them that it was free.

So bye having free swimming lessons everybody will have the opportunity to be abble to swim.

SLJ Week 2 Day 1 Activity 2

 So to work out how to get the number between 8 and 25 I did 25 - 8. I did this because I knew that if I got rid of my age from 25 that it would give an answer of how many years until I am 25. The answer I got was 18 witch it would be 18 years until I am 25.

These are my favourite things to do I like to play rugby, go to the lake with my family, and I love to play basketball. I like to play rugby so I can get fit and tackling people and get tries. I like to go to Lake Kaniere because it is a fun place and I get to play with my family and my cousins. I like to play basketball because it is a fun sport I like to shoot hoops.

My dream job 

When I grow up I want to be just like my Dad. He is a volunteer fireman and he owns a farm and he is a paramedic. I want to be like my Dad because he is amazing.
Out of all of those I would be a farmer the most, I would enjoy driving the motorbike and I would be getting the cows, so a can milk them.

If I meet LeBron James I would ask him how did you get so good at baskball? Then I would ask him when did you start playing baskball?  Then I would ask him what position do you play?

I have been brave when I was playing rugby because I always get hurt because people step on my leg with there rugby boots on and I am brave when I am tackleing people. If I get hurt I just walk it off and keep playing.

My Charity is St John. I have chosen this Charity because my Dad works at St John as a paramedic and my Mum volunteers for the Area Committee and is a member of the South Island Regional Trust Board. I helped out by helping with the annual St John food drive. We gave this food to the local food bank for Christmas.

Pet Project

This my pet project my project it was about my cat Charlie. I have had him sine's Nonmember 30th 2018. We our doing are pet project because we are haveing pet day on the 16th of December.

On Monday we had Mr Kinane for 1 hour. First we had to make a spiral like this.  At first I didn't know how to make this then Mr Kinane showed us how to do it and then I tried to do it and I tried and tried and tried again until I got it right. I could not believe it that you could make  one spiral in one go. This was very hard to do but in the end I got it right.                                        

Calendar Art

On Friday we made Calendar art we made it about pourtalls. First  we made are pourtalls like a spider web. Then we corlered it in the pastis I chose Green and Orindge we could not put the same corler next to eatch other. Then we toke a photo about thinking about were falling into a pourtall. And then we had to cut it out and then we glued it on our pictcher. And put our names and age on.

Chips maths

This is my chips maths the first thing we did was make a graph in our book by using tellmarks. When we finshed we could eat the chips. Then we made it in google sheets in our drive.  We had a small, meduim and large groups of chips.  The flavers were ready and salted, salt and vinaga and chinkin.

A Haiku Poem is 5 7 5 syllables This Haiku Poem is about me this is my favourite.

Maths Actitiy

Today I made a Screen casttify on my maths repeated addition for my maths activity. We got to make lots of different repeated addition questions. I like doing the pictures because I got to make lots of different pictures.

Tynker

I made this with Mr Kinane. First I got on start then I got pen down. Then get Pen colour and put it black. Then get set pen size and put it on 80 then put repeat 4 In a repeat 4 put move 650 pixles in the repet 4 for the big square put 350 pixles in move pixles for the moth put 350 in move for the eyes put  200 pixles in move. Next put turn 90 degrees under move. And then you can make this face.

Red Colour Poem

I have been working on my colour poem. I like doing my wevideo because I could play with all different sounds. I didn't like recording my self because it was really hard. It was hard to draw the pictures because it took a long time. It was easy to do the wevido because Lincoln helped me a lot. Next time I do a WEVideo I am going to get more slides and talk clearer.

Melfed Wax Art

In term two we made pictures. The  pictures that we made were clowns.  We had to use an Electric Frypan and then we put hot water in it. Each brush had it's own colour on it and then the crayons got put into the Electric Frypan. Then the crayons melted. Then the crayon dried really quickly. Then we all  got  brushes and painted our pictures. It took a very long time to do my picture. Each clown was very different to other poeple's clowns. We drew the picture first and then we painted them. The colour were white, pink, dark green, light green, blue, yellow, red and black. I felt very good about my clown, I did very good.

Reflection

I liked doing P.E this term because I have been learning to stop the ball and then kick it in football. I need to make sure I let some other people get the ball.

I also liked doing maths to because I am good at subtraction because I can do them very fast.

 I liked doing reading because I like to do my reading activity I am good at my reading acivity too.

 I am very good at writing because I am good at typing and spelling. I liked doing art because I like to do painting.

My favourite part of this term was doing Xtramaths because I am very good at it.

I did not like doing my reflection because it takes 20 minutes.

Cross country

Cross Country 2019

We went there to race. The people who went with me was the school. 

When we got to Mr Morrison's farm we went around the track walking. Then the year 6s raced first the boys raced and then the girls raced. Then the year 5s raced first the boys raced and then the girls raced. Then it was time for the year 3s raced. At the the first bridge Lincoln's shoe came off he was running with one shoe the whole time. Then I slashed into the puddle I got very wet. The people who were racing with me were Haki, Louis, Linlcon and Zack. We were there for cross country. I ran down the hill as fast as I could. Linlcon got 1st place I got 2nd place and Zack got 3rd place. It was very muddy because it was raining before cross country.

Vocab

The word of the week was novice. I am novice at getting 10 trise in rugby. I am novice at basketball as wall. 

Vocab

Bolt means to go really fast or a lightning bolt struck my house. Bolt can also mean you screw a bolt something together. Bolt can also mean you bolt across the grass.

Coding

This is a shape that we made on Tynker. We had to get turn 90 degrees and  the when  up arrow and then we had to get pen down and then set pen size to 5 set pen colour to blue. If you want to be creative you can get repeat and then put on 4 and then you get move 200 pixels and then you put 200 pixels and put it in repeat then turn 90 degrees and then it will make four of these.

Cease means to put a end or a stop to something.

Procrastinte mines you need to do something but you do not want to do it.

All about me

Hi my name is Ben from Kaniere School. I like to play in the fort with my friends. I like to do maths, reading and writing it is fun because I'm really good at maths and I get to do all kinds of maths problems. My friends are Haki, Deegan and Lincoln. My goals are this year to get better at maths, reading and writing. I think I am getting better at maths,reading and writing. I think I am getting better at xtramath and maths whizz. I like to do Reading Eggs, Maths Whizz and Epic. My mum and dad's name are me called David and Abby. Our pets are a cat and chicks. I am a year 3.

It took a lot of time because it was  challenging because it had hard questions. It was fun because i like to do maths. I was good a this because I am good at maths.

We have been learning the kawa of care. We will not throw our chromebooks around. We will be in the right place at the right time. We will not have food around our chromebooks.

Maths - Shapes

I had to use rectangles , triangles , squares and trapezium.  I learnt that you can make pictures with shapes.

I think I did really good at this art because I like to do art. I think I did really ok at cutting because I did the best I could. It was fun because I love writing. I did good at gluing because I did it quick. I love doing this because I like to do art.
